Xhafer Alijaj from the village of Dujaka of the Gjakova municipality last month has buried his mother on his private property.
This has been the case since there was no other choice, since there is no room in the village cemetery for new graves, KTV reports.
Alijaj demands that any solution be offered by the municipality of Gjakova, as according to him, other residents have no room to bury their families.
This is because all residents are unable to share private land for cemetery.
The dire problem of residents of Dujaka village, for the small space of the cemetery, has also been raised in the Gjakova Municipal Assembly.
In the Gjakova municipality, they say they are reported to the problem, for which village residents must apply to the Kosovo Privatisation Agency for new space destined for the cemetery.
Aferdita Lama, director of the Directorate of Cassastra and Geodesia in Gjakova, has stressed that the moment the AKP is responding positively to residents' demand, they will offer municipal property in exchange for AKP property for cemeteries.
Lack of space for the cemetery also faces Batush villages, Popoc, Bec,
Dive and residents of the city of Gjakova.
