Bosnia and Herzegovina police have arrested in Banja Luka on Wednesday, Davor Dragic, whose request for the death of his son David has sparked protests months ago.
Police have detained him in the capital of the Bosnian Serb Republic, as he has not responded to the authorities' requests for questioning.
In addition, police have arrested several other people, including Dragicsic's ex-wife.
Family lawyer has said Davor Dragic has been hurt during the ban, but police have denied that claim.
The European Union delegation in Bosnia has reacted after these developments, saying it is monitoring this situation.
Wednesday's “visions in Banja Luka send a negative and alarming signal to rule of law”, it is said in the statement.
Dragic had established the Justice Movement for David, following the death of his 21-year-old son in March of this year.
David was found dead after a week of his disappearance.
His father said he was tortured and killed, until according to police the victim died after the use of alcohol and drugs.
In a march held on October 5th, Davor Dragic has said that “Interior Ministry has organised the murder of David”.
“This is a criminal state, criminal police”, it was expressed.
Authorities in Sarajevo and Banja Luka have denied these claims.
After the December 25th arrests, police have removed an improvised memorial for David Dragicevich, a place that residents have placed candles and flowers for months.
Tens of people have watched this event tearfully.
