(8 years ago)Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has been hosting today's announced meeting of the new United States Ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Costnet, is announced in a news release, Periscopi broadcast. Tahiri is said to have informed Ambassador Costet of the changes and reforms that have been undertaken to empower rule of law, advance access to justice, as well as adopting the legislative agenda aimed at strengthening the legal state in the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Tahiri has highly praised the support the American government has given to the justice sector, and in particular the unreserved support during the vital processes of this sector, the functional Review of the Law Rule Sector and the joint agenda “Justice 2020”. The steps taken, according to Minister Tahiri, will increase the accountability and transparency of local institutions, and will help restore citizens' confidence in these institutions”, said further in the Justice Ministry's announcement.. / P ERISCOPIA
