DUI Chairman Ali Ahmeti, in his speech to this end of the year, warned that Macedonia is at the end of closing a very important process such as it is for resolving the constitutional name problem, which, as he put it, strengthens stability and guarantees peace in the region.
He has invited the Macedonian and Albanian opposition to assist in this process and not to use the same for political gain.
“on January 9th begins the constitutional changes session and I invite all MPs to give their contribution to the closure of the problem with Greece”, Ahmeti, who in his final address, warned that the Albanian-language law, which was voted in the Assembly but has not yet appeared in the official newspaper, will soon be implemented.
The DUI leader has also spoken of presidential elections, expected to be held in the spring of next year. He announced that with the coalition partner, they are on the right track to find a name for president acceptable to both sides.
Ahmeti devoted part of his speech to the need to solve the problem between Kosovo and Serbia, and encouraged the parties to do so as soon as possible.
The only thing for solving this problem is Serbia” Ahmeti said.
