Chief Parliamentary Kadri Veselini has said that today was not a good day for Kosovo, having for reference the failure to join INTERPOL.
However, according to Wessel, more powerful than the fact that non-membership in Interpol is the fact that neither Serbia, with its policy of international obstruction of Kosovo, nor organised crime nor terrorism, will be able to stop the empowering of the state of Kosovo and its international integration.
Kosovo boasts with its police. It's the most professional police in the region and beyond. With its professionalism proven, Kosovo Police have made our state a reliable and effective partner in the fight against international organised crime, and in particular against terrorism. Today's negative vote has clearly damaged the international partnership against these evils. But despite that, we will not be discouraged in the way of our integration purposes. We will work without stopping or giving up. As we have always done with the challenges of the past”, Veselin wrote, past Kosova Preress.
Wessel has already had a poros for opposition parties.
“In this context, it would be good and patriotic, of course, that opposition parties, instead of co-operating with Serbia, joy over Kosovo's non-membership in Interpol, and rub hands for power, call for reason and find the right strength to join the country's institutions in common confrontation with the challenges we face as state and society. Promoting internal division, selfish and blocking policies are clearly undermining Kosovo and helping strengthen Serbia's international position in relation to Kosovo. This political behavior must end. As soon as it's too late for all of us, the Wessel is finished.
Today Kosovo was the only state in the agenda for membership that failed to join the police organisation, as Kiribati and Vanuatu were admitted to Interpol.
