A Turkish court has sentenced 74 people to life imprisonment, including soldiers, for involvement in the failed coup that took place during 2016.
More than 240 people, mostly unarmed civilians, were killed on the evening of July 15th, when a group of soldiers with tanks and fighter planes tried to oust Turkish President Tayip Erdogan from power.
Turkey has blamed the Muslim cleric who lives in the United States, Fetullah Gylen, for the coup and has arrested about 160,000 people for involvement, writes Euronews, broadcast Klan Kosova.
While, according to Interior Minister, 77,000 people have been filed and are now being held in prison to be tried.
