Lawyer Tome Gashi continues to insist that Vetevendosje activist Astrit Dehari was killed two years ago in a cell in Prizren, where he was in custody for the attack on the Parliament.
Two years after Dehar's death, the family is awaiting the results of the super-expertosis being made in Lozanne, Switzerland. Institutions in Kosovo had said the case was suicide.
At the Express Interview on KTV, Gashi has recalled controversial statements immediately after this event, stating that “there were claims of suicide, medicine, and addiction, which none of them really did.”
He has said the Dehari family trusts two foreign-called experts in the case. Both, according to Gashi, were accepted during the production, but when they published the results, they were not accepted.
When we received expertise from independent experts allowed by institutions and failed to counter it, then the prosecution reacted as invalid”, Gashi said.
After the contradictions, the Dehar family had agreed that the case would go to Lausanne, Switzerland, from which the results have yet to come. As a delay, according to Gashi, it may also be the translation of the subject from the Albanian language.
He has said he trusts local authorities that the case has been sent to Switzerland fully and that once it is answered it will be forwarded to the family. He added that the family would accept the outcome legally.
We're going to accept this, but the truth is that Astrit Dehar was killed. Law truth doesn't often match that fact”, Gashi added. “I can't guess what they're going to send. But when they're sent to the DA they'll equip us with their opinion. We have no reason to suspect that they may not be real. The Dehari family believes whatever outcome may come. There may be a difference between law and fact, but it's a case that only leads to one that Astrit has been killed”.
Gashi has also added that there have been two kinds of political influences in this case, one for influence that the case will continue to be investigated by internationals and another negative for the previous “declarations that it is careful to commit to”. This was said by Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel.
According to Gashi, the case was fully mounted and everything was raised because Dehar and others were Vetevendosje activists.
