According to him, these resignations are harmful to the citizens of these municipalities, as well as to the climate of relations between communities in Kosovo.
The resignation of four northern mayors of the Republic of Kosovo is a hasty and harmful decision for citizens of these municipalities, as well as for the climate of relations between communities in Kosovo. I invite all northern citizens to self-control, for a calm and balanced response to the situation created in recent days”, Wessel said in his response.
The chief of the Parliament has stressed that Kosovo is committed to respecting the rights and interests of each of its citizens, so according to Wessel, problems should be resolved cautiously and only through political ways and dialogue.
Kosovo will also continue to do its best to improve interethnic co-existence within the country and consolidate good stability and neighbourhood in the region”, it has written on Facebook.
During Tuesday, leaders of northern Mitrovica, Leposaviqi, Zubin Potok and Zvecan have resigned.
