Meanwhile, when the latter continue to justify themselves with the small number of inspectors, a large number continue to circulate freely into the city. However, only 400 of them were pronounced fines this year. Citizens for this situation blame the Pristina municipality's Inspectorate.
Tolovia in traffic and large number of cars are causing pedestrian headaches, especially for disabled people.
The inadequate infrastructure is imperiling their free movement, where the life of this category is still getting harder.
For Naim Hajdari, from Pristina, the big problem is also how to move on the sidewalk.
According to him, the area that is dedicated to wombs is also being occupied by illegal taxis.
And even as a disabled person I don't have access to the sidewalk from them, doesn't the coma go, because of the public transportation, which is very confrontational here, but as a person with limited ability, I don't have access to the sidewalk from them, doesn't the coma go, for the moment of broken leg, stepped on me between the road, and after urban traffic, there's no longer the illegal cab”, says Hajter for Kosova Pres.
Guilty to this situation, he makes the Inspectorate, since according to him they are not doing their job properly.
“Fare not doing the job well. They are, but they never come out. He never saw the inspectorate stop him, he added.
This is not the only citizen who complains about illegal taxis. Muhammad Racin, their presence, is completely blocking the flow of the city. Yet, they are forced to go out to work.
If everything were right, if it were the job at the proper level of citizens, then it would really be fair, don't stumble, because they're blocking, they're blocking it. But, a lot of citizens, they're low incomes, they're scans, they're available to work for”, says Raracy.
During the past year alone, the Pristina municipality's Inspectorate has initiated about a thousand subjects towards the tribunal. But nothing better has been the situation this year.
The head of the municipal-ranked sector at the Directorate of Inspection in the Pristina municipality, Alban Ymer, has indicated to Kosovo Press that 400 fines for illegal taxis have been imposed during this year.
This year's “about 400 vehicles have already been fined, meaning, even with the cases in court, who have been practicing this iconic activity. There are times when the same ones continue after the initialing of the subject, we have cases even when we confiscated the vehicle for the first time, and the same went on the second time. However, by law it is envisioned that for recivilists means those who repeat the work, the duration of the seizure goes up to five days”, says Ymer.
And the fine for illegal tax drivers is 800 euros. As Ymer said, the demand is too big for taxi permits. But, according to him, it is impossible for Pristina to legalise everyone.
Pristina's “communa has the specified number of work permits that are issued. Currently, there are 700 legal permits left. Request is too big. We have many illegal taxi drivers coming from other municipalities, including Fushe Kosovo, Podujevo, Lipjanin, Vushtran, Mitrovica. And it's impossible for all of this to meet the cab requirements with permission”, Ymer said.
The difficulty in itself according to him is the small number of inspectors, where, in total, he said, there are 25. However, he acknowledges that because of illegal Pristina taxis, there is a quagmire, and every day there is a problem in circulation.
