The event took place in Crete, and the flag was burned by a couple of students in Clyimo. High school students entered school facilities holding a Greek flag in their hands while singing the national anthem and burning an Albanian flag.
The language of hatred with anti-Albanian calls and the burning of the flag caused an Albanian student to lose consciousness. Since the murder of minority Kacifas in Gjirokastra, several protests have been held in Greece by extremists, while the Albanian national flag has been burned on two occasions.
