Workers at a steel smelter plant in Belgium enjoyed a truly pleasant weekend after they found an additional 30,000 euros in their bank accounts.
The money, which was later found to be a huge mistake because in fact, they would receive a bonus of only 100 euros.
However, there were those who took advantage of something... some rushed to make good use of funds, paid debts, but now, the company wants the money back.
It has not been made clear how many of the plant's 230 employees, with an average salary of 1600 euros a month, received the giant bonus, but, as it turns out, are few who have suffered and are now forced to return every cent.
I was shocked to see my account status. But it seemed to be a mistake, so I didn't touch anything. I just took my salary and put the rest aside until I learned more”, says one employee, adding that he knows others who have spent part of the sum.
