Eggs from Serbia sold in Kosovo without seals “RKS”

The smuggling and import of eggs from Serbia, which do not meet the market criteria, is bothering over 160 Kosovars.

“We are concerned with the amount of import of eggs and smuggling with these products from Serbia, which do not meet the conditions, are not sealed and are creating unfair competition in the market”, Rama has said.

He has already said he has an illegal import of eggs from Serbia, especially from northern Mitrovica.

The key to concern is, because our products are sealed in the market, while eggs from Serbia are sold without a seal on the Kosovo market. Import illegally had it earlier, but now it's starting to take place in large quantities”, he stressed.

Among other things, Rama said Kosovo covers 100 per cent of the egg production market.
