Book “The origin of a democracy: Hashim Thaci and the road to Kosovo's independence”, author Jacques Baudouwin and written foreword Bernard Kouchner, has been promoted today in Paris, France.

The book written in French, which still sʹka editions in Albanian, has Thaci as protagonist of war and peace in Kosovo.

The author of the book Jacques Baudowin called Thaci the most political of the rebels and the most rebellious of the politics.

While Thaci said he does not prefer to talk much about this book, he also recalled the importance of reaching an agreement with Serbia.

Thaci, who was in Brussels yesterday, met with Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, said he expects an agreement to be reached soon, however that even this time did not overlook the difficulties in this.

Author Baudowin said he wanted to understand where hostility comes from toward this small country that wanted peace.

As a writer passionate in international relations and passionate with history, I wanted to understand the facts and realities behind the scenes, so the origin of a democracy is not a historical book, but it describes, facts, events... This book of mine has been made, and by the will to cast down all the Jacques Baudouinha lies of hostile or negative propaganda against Kosovo reality, I have felt a great need to restore justice to a people, a victim of a terrible injustice, in the London treaty in 1913 where borders were visited, and Serbs sought a part of Albania, and it is known that it is not the cradle of Serbs, so the sufferings of Kosovars and Kosovo Albanians have led me to take the side of the victim, not to the country's 148x> he said.

He even praised Thaci.

“President Thaci, who is very charismatic, has encouraged me to describe, even the role of this man, but in his midst the efforts of the Kosovo Albanian people. He's a political leader, a cladist, he's become a true statesman, there's at last not as many citizens like this one in Europe as I can say he's a true statesman. They have claimed that since then Mr. Thaci is the most political of the rebels, but even the most rebellious of politics, he is one of his own time, representing the reality of his people”, Baudawin said.

President Hashim Thaci has talked about the difficulties Albanians faced in Kosovo during and after the war, counting the missing, prisoners, hostages held by Serbia, as well as interethnic tensions.

I have come today not by taxi, as I have gone to Rambouille as described in the book, but I am invited and received with honour as president of Kosovo by France's president, Macron. As president of an independent sovereign country, not with substantiial autonomy”, he said.

“In this case I come directly from the meeting in Brussels where I had with the president of Serbia, the meeting, namely to build peace because this status quo and the frozen conflict is tolerable between Kosovo and Serbia. Kosovo has been recognised by 116 states and has become a member of about 200 international organisations, but for me it is not enough just for the country to be independent and free, we have to move faster and straight. NATO and the EU can't happen without a peaceful agreement on Kosovo-Serbia normalisation... ...we're seriously working very hard, many obstacles, with very little possibilities for reaching the deal, but I'm very committed, I see light at the end of the tunnel... I also expect the outcome of the agreement from this event in your book to invite all the people to help us because we need everyone's help, I hope the agreement will be concluded in the near future”, he said.

This agreement, according to Thaci, implies mutual recognition, as well as recognition of Kosovo by the five EU nations, he also cited that Russian veto be removed, as well as the replacement of Resolution 1244.

And the first administrator in Kosovo, Bernard Kouchner, who has written the preface to this book, has remembered the time of the recent war in Kosovo.

“We weren't talking about independence, you remember the formation of Resolution 1244 was substanial autonomy. What is substantial autonomy? In a place where people “took each other's paths” every day every night. Substantial autonomy. We did. I don't know if I can say two slogans or two separate sentences: We did it in the dark. It's true we did it in the dark. We were completely incapable of seeing days and months after each other”, he said.

He thought that they were then facing a serious reality.
