The head of Kosovo's University Clinical Hospital Service, Basri Sejdiu, has gathered media at an extraordinary conference to clarify the situation of buying 735 beds that, unfortunately, the clinics' narrow doors make them unfunctionable.
Entrusted that the institution leading does not mismanage public money, Sejdiu has stressed that all beds are in operation and will not remain out of use, KTV reports.
But he has not been able to clarify whether he has been aware before that the door to clinics is narrower than the beds.
Basriu has stressed that some clinics will be changed doors and that, according to him, will be made after a donation received from the Luxembourg Kingdom, which he said was being drafted a feasibility report.
But it has not specified whether even the elevators will be modernised, as beds cannot be entered.
He has denied the fact that beds are not accepted by clinics, saying the institution leading the priorities has the patient.
At the SHSKUK conference, at all times, Minister of Health Adviser Albattri Matoshi was also present.
The Health Ministry has paid the money for the beds, while the procedures have led the KKUK procurement.
KTV reported on Thursday that the 1m euros spent on beds bought according to European standards could be in vain, as beds, even with the mobile mechanism, cannot exit the clinic rooms because their width is 10cm larger than the length of the door.
