Serbia's biggest and only problem on EU travel is Kosovo. Thus has Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, declared, when urged to comment on European Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn's statement, under which Kosovo is not Serbia's only problem on its way to [...]
Serbia's biggest problem on EU travel is Kosovo. But EU leaders do not want to say that, since they get negative points when they speak only of Kosovo”, it is expressed.
“We are on the European road, since we want to have democratic societies and be an orderly state, but our biggest problem is Kosovo”, the Serbian president has said, broadcast Koha.net.
“Talks (with Kosovo) are heavy, people need to understand that Albanians are increasingly nervous, especially if they do not participate in Interpol, and if they enter, they will celebrate and accept no compromise. On the other hand, we have the international community, which says, cross the border, while we want”, Vuciq said.
According to him, Serbia wants compromise with Kosovo Albanians, but now “clearly states that this is almost impossible because of the political atmosphere in both Serbia and Kosovo. The open external factor does not want Serbia and Kosovo to reach agreement”, while adding that it will be increasingly difficult to preserve stability in Kosovo.
