US President Donald Trump again threatened today to impose tariffs for the additional imports of Chinese goods worth $267 billion, if China is to take countermass in an escalation of bilateral trade war.
Trump told reporters at the White House that China is not yet ready to reach a trade agreement and that several meetings with the country have been cancelled, Reuters reports.
The American president last month imposed fees on nearly $200 billion of Chinese imports and then threatened additional fees if Beijing takes countermass.
China then responded with the introduction of tariffs on the import of US goods worth 60 billion dollars,
