A house which had long ago been owned by a Suffolk man who was dependent on because of allegations of witchcraft has been sold.

Property in Peabody, Massachusetts, is now on sale for $600, but it's scary, since its owner, John Proctor, was a victim of Salem's witch trials.

The house was built in 1638 when it was part of Salem.

John was convicted and hung on charges of witchcraft in 1692, after forcing a former servant to touch the Devil's Book.

The event had inspired Arthur Miller for the same name film in 1996.

The house has six bedrooms and sales agent Joe Cypolette, from J Company. Barrett and Co., says it's a great example of American history and colonization. She also owns the kitchen and big living room, where big parties can be held. John Proctor's house had been owned by a family for three decades, but after the owner's death on October 8th of this year at the age of 90, it has now been released for sale.
