Albert Krasniqi from the KDI Institute has announced that political parties for four years are constantly hiding their financial reports, even preventing financing auditing.
According to him, these political parties in the country are misinterpreting the law and budgeting less than the market value for auditing.
Krasniqi has stressed that to calculate the misinterpretations, the Law for Financing Political Subjects is in the procedure of changing the Government, for which the Venice Commission's opinion was taken, transmits Periscopi.
The “Law in force, despite clearly envisioning the obligations of political parties in relation to financial transparency, those with the help of the CEC and the Assembly, are avoiding obligations they have”, Krasniqi wrote.
He has also published deadlines that have been violated so far and reports that have not been published by political parties:
There was no auditing of the Annual Financial Reports for 2017 (the first party was on June 15, 2018);
No audit reports were published in 2017 (the previous period was June 30, 2018);
No Annual Financial Reports were published in 2017 (the preceding deadline was July 30, 2018);
Campaign spending on Kosovo's Assembly elections (principle) has not been published on December 22, 2017);
) No campaign spending has been published for local elections (the initial vote was on April 22, 2018).
