Ombudsman: Financial reports of political parties being public

A KDI request dated January 13th 2017 addressed to the Office for the Registeration and Certificate of the CEC parties has resulted in a report by the Ombudsman's institution in which it recommends that financial reports and reports of political parties' spending should be public and should be enabled [...]
KDI in a bid directed at the CEC had asked for access to financial reports and reports of political parties' spending in 2015, and for parties: P DK, LDK, LVV, LS, AAK, NISMA”.
Since despite passing the legal deadline for returning the response, KDI has been approached with complaints of denial of access to public documents to the ombudsman.
Following a several-page analysis of the Ombudsman's Institution, where, among other things, the case of BIRN is cited against the Kosovo Prime Minister's Office in connection with the receipts of representation spending, in which the Pristina Constitutional Court has, with the decision of form, found B IRN has access to the paperwork billing.
“The costs made to public officials, particularly top state officials, are money raised by taxes and taxes paid by citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and looked at from this point have direct interest in informing them of every cent where they spend public officials entrusted to them with public authorisations, and by this fact they should be held accountable for these expenses”, says the Court's decision providing copyright to BIRN in proportion to the Office of Prime Minister in which the decision also supports the Office of the Ombudsman.
Thus, the Ombudsman's institution, finding it fair and based on the KDI complaint, through recommendations for the CEC, requires access to KDI required documents.
The Central Election Commission, in 30 days, must meet the recommendation of the Ombudsman's institution and also announce it for the actions taken.
The Central Election Commission has published the political parties' financial reports online, but, KDI has found that these reports are not enough to clearly show the revenues and expenditures of political parties, and has also filed a complaint about access to financial reports and spending reports.
