Ekrem Mustafa was the deputy Tahiri's man who was also officially appointed minister of Internal Affairs.
The appointment in this position was taken last night by Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, thus replacing him with former Prime Minister Batush Gashi, who was dismissed during yesterday by his AKR party for the reason he had a poor performance.
The AKR, which has only two deputies in the Kosovo Assembly, Labitot Tahirin and Islam Pacolli, has a huge share in Government, leading with four ministries, the one of foreign affairs that heads Behgjet Pacolli, the Interior to be led by Ekrem Mustafa, the one of the environment, which is being run by Fatmir Matosi, and the economic development that drives Valdrin Luka.
The Interior Ministry, in which two ministers, Flamur Sefaj and Bejtush Gashi, have been dismissed so far.
Meanwhile, Minister Bejtush Gashi was relieved today at the request of AKRU. In the AKR they say he was fired because of his poor performance.
Prior to him, the mandate had not been able to complete even Minister Flamur Sefaj, whom Prime Minister Haradinaj had dismissed, due to the arrest of Turkish citizens charged in Turkey with terrorism, as part of the Gylenist group.
