After facing charges and threats from former female colleagues, MJ Akbar, the foreign affairs minister, said he has decided to resign to challenge the false charges.
“I have sought justice in a court, so I consider it reasonable to leave duty and reject false accusations against me”, he said.
During the weekend, Akbar said he would go to court to clear up words thrown over his name, adding that he wants the accusers of slander.
