A project between the German Ministry of Innovation and GIZ, which will cost 2.4m euros, is approved today by members of the Commission for Education, Science, Technology, Youth, Sports, Innovation and Intervention.
Minister of innovation and entrepreneurship Besim Beqaj said this project is aimed at supporting private sectors.
The agreement is co-finance and aims to support the private sector in Kosovo. In these tools that we've taken from Government, we've carried out all procedures, we'll make it available to the GIZ, where all distribution procedures will be performed by GIZ. This has also been our goal in granting credibility to such a process of sharing such means. The agreement is under the CTP programme. The budget we as minister have planned for this project, what is important is that 2.4m euros is the whole project. 1.2m euros have been allocated to us as the minister, 1.2m euros to GIZ”, Beqaj said.
He explained that the project is three years old, which will include four areas.
For innovation with small enterprises, 800 thousand euros for three years are earmarked. For new businesses, there are three sectors in technology, production and agriculture, there are 420 thousand for promotion of sectors that have potential for export of 600 thousand, and female-led business associations are ahead of 300 euros”, Beqaj said.
AAK MP Teuta Haxhiu has supported this project, calling it serious since the budget is also planned for it.
Innovation Minister Besim Beqaj has also mentioned the military camp in Prizren, where, as he said, this camp will no longer be there, and the same will be transformed into German-Kosovo park, which will serve innovation and training.
