The trophy won by Geraint Thomas on this year's Tour de France has been robbed. The news was confirmed by his own “Team Sky” through a press release on his website.
The trophy was displayed at “Cycle Shoe” held in Birmingham, along with the gyros trophies of Italy 2018 and the Spain Tour 2017.
In the communiqué, “Team Sky” stressed that police were notified of this robbery, with the latter launching investigations in search of this year's “Grand Bowl” trophy.
Geraint Thomas himself has reacted after this incident, stressing that it is a most unpleasant episode.
