US Ambassador between Belgrade: Kosovo is independent, sovereign state

US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott has declared today that the Kosovo government is not so-called, but the Government of Kosovo, and is an independent and sovereign state, with its elected representatives.

Scott has spoken this way in Serbia's Government in the journalists' question of how much hope for peace is there when Serbia is constantly pressured for talks with the so-called Kosovo government, where half of the leaders are people with criminal files or are in court processes”, reports the Serbian portal “Telegraf”.

“is not the so-called Kosovo government, but the Government of Kosovo, we consider Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. They are Kosovo's elected representatives and we have contacts with them, as well as with all representatives of any state in the region”, the US diplomat said, broadcast Koha.net.

Scott has said that stability in the region may be better, but there is progress, while adding that one of the key elements is economic development.
