He was one of the few who escaped the gas chambers, serving as maintenance, reports “BBC”, report Periscope.

More than 250,000 Jews are believed to have been killed in Sobibor by the Nazis, in eastern Poland during 1942-1943.
In October 1943, Wiespapir and seven other prisoners rebelled using knives, hooks, and firearms against Ukrainian and German guards.
Nearly half of the 600 prisoners in the camp managed to escape, but 100 were caught immediately. Of those who escaped, only 47 survived World War II.
Waispapir had lost his entire family during the invasion of Ukraine from Nazi Germany. He married after the war ended and had two sons./Periscopi/
