The extraordinary images show the desert city of Ain Sefra covered in sudden snow that runs into several inches of depth, reports The Sun”.
It's the third time this city is covered by white blanket in the last 38 years.
Last January that territory, the hottest desert, was covered by snow that reached three feet [1 m] thick as the snow bubble ran through December 2016.
Before that, Ain Sefra had seen no snow since February 18, 1979, when there were clouds that lasted only 30 minutes.
Snow this time began falling in early Sunday hours and soon covered the sand.
Photo Karim Bouchetata said: “We were really surprised when we woke up and saw white. He stayed all Sunday and began to melt about 5 p.m.”
