He reacted after a report by Serbian-language Prva TV that Pristina has definitely rejected Belgrade's co-operation in the investigation over the murder of Civic Initiative leader “Liria, Democracy, Justice” (SDP), Oliver Ivanovic, broadcast Koha.net reporting B92.
Serbia's Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic, said it is quite unacceptable the reaction of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the minister of justice and Pristina institutions, as it usually addresses the official Republic of Kosovo, rejecting the participation of Serbia's investigative bodies in the investigation over Oliver Ivanovic's murder.
Such reaction of Pristina's main institutions clearly shows that there is no will to be found and punished, nor should any professional investigation be made, since it should include all investigative bodies that could help expose the perpetrators and organisers of this criminal work”, he said.
The goal is clear, he has added, so that the attention of the opinion can be guided in the wrong direction and that the discovery of the true motives of this murder and the discovery of all who are responsible.
“Despite all requirements directed by EULEX and UNMIK to include the investigative bodies of the Republic of Serbia in the investigative process, we have remained without any response from these international institutions. So far especially concerns the unprecedented practice EULEX does not take a more active role in the investigative process in such a criminal act”, Stefanovic has said, broadcast Koha.net.
He has added that Serbia further for its prosecution, police and its investigative bodies to be part of the investigation.
We consider that only then can the full truth be enlightened and prevent the authors and their commanding officers from being unpunished”, said Minister Stefanovic.
