In Montenegro police they are considering a case of rape and sexual abuse of a young man, part of the LGBI community in Kosovo.
Montenegrin police have confirmed they are in communication with Interpol to resolve this case and find and bring to justice the leaders of this work.
The Montenegro-based LGBT “Progress” Forum has received the young man's statement, which was quoted as saying that the case started September 2017, when it was first contacted with E.G. from Kosovo, via the social Facebook network.
After initial and pleasant communication, the young man agrees to meet E.G. in Podgorica. After the announcement and passage of time together, E.G. proposes that the young man go with him on a day trip to Pec to spend more time together and get better acquainted. After starting on this road, things take an almost incredible direction”, says “Progress” in a media communique, Koha.net reports.
Later, as the young Montenegrin man claims in his statement gave the forum “Progrress”, en route to Pec, E.G. has physically attacked him, forcing him to consume some pills of unknown compounds.
After that, the young man lost consciousness and woke up the next day in an unknown residence in Pec. In this period, E.G. he tells him that he is a captive, and that he must do whatever he is asked, under the threat of death. The young man was later sent to Gjakova, a rented apartment in which he remained imprisoned and forced to stay about five months. During this period, E.G. visited the young man, physically and sexually abusing him, causing chest and belly wounds with his knife, leaving him hungry and denying him the right to move. According to the young man's claims, E.G. had a gun he threatened with, and he had threatened several times to drown it in a nearby river. The young man, aware of the situation he was in, as well as the seriousness of the threat, was forced to do whatever was said out of fear for his life”, says further “Progress” calling in the Montenegrin youth's statement.
While, always according to the statement of the 20-year-old Montenegrin, January 2018, after reporting the neighbour to the apartment where he was confined, Kosovo police show up at the flat and send the boy to the police station for questioning.
However, the situation takes a different direction, since, as the young Montenegrin leader claims, police servants, after receiving his statement and realizing that they belong to the LGBTI community, physically attack him. Four policemen then beat him and mock him, and refuse to take the statement and take the case into account. In this case, he was struck with closed fists and open fists in the head, in the stomach and chest”, says the LGBT Forum “Progress”.
“Progress” says the young man, once out of the police station, has left Kosovo and has returned to Montenegro, where he has sought the help of this forum.
