Crete's inhabitants in Greece have been shocked by an accident where a couple of young people lost their lives, as well as the daughter's mother while traveling on a one - way road to the island.

Two others who were in the same car were sent to the hospital with serious injuries, but without risk of life, write Greek media, broadcast Albeu.com.

Christo and Mary were prepared for the wedding in the coming months, but the accident cut their dreams.

The two were last summer with the boy's family, telling them they would soon marry.

The accident occurred as they were returning from a visit to the city of Chania as another car approached them, causing the fatal crash.
