The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kosovo has accepted through official communication channels, a request from the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Justice, for mutual judicial assistance in the case of Kosovo, which has been linked to the Prosecutor's request for Organised Creation of the Republic of Serbia, under which judicial assistance is sought by the Republic of Kosovo under procedures highlighted in the bilateral agreement in force.
The exclusive request is related to the possibility of offering copies of the evental evidence, data and other reports, which they possess or can possess the prosecutorial and police organs of the Republic of Kosovo, in this case”, is said in the joint statement of both ministries.
The justice ministry is open to bilateral judicial co-operation and welcomes the willingness of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia to provide judicial assistance through exchange of information that could contribute to the quick solution of the case, once not violating in any circumstances the developments of the investigative procedure and ensuring the privacy of the Republic of Kosovo's jurisdiction in developing investigations into the case.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs suggests that it has put all its mechanisms and law enforcement agencies in motion, in order for the investigative procedure to develop efficiently and that investigations are under way in actual parameters. Kosovo police have identified elements that enable qualitative development of investigations in terms of the case in question.
Institutions and law - rule bodies possess all the capacities needed to investigate this case and are extremely devoted to having the perpetrators brought to justice as soon as possible.
