Former Environment Minister who rescued Tetovo from pollution talks about measures to be taken in Pristina

Former Minister of Life Environment and Spatial Planning in Macedonia, the Ameti Union considers that heating coal objects, covered traffic with outdated cars, and underchecked development of construction that prevents the flow of air currents over the city are some of the main causes of air pollution in Pristina on this side of the year. Although [...]
Although he has assessed the government's decision in co-ordination with the Pristina municipality, for measures taken in terms of the air situation, Ameti claims that Kosovo institutions should make as precise pollution measurements on this course as well as the identification of climate conditions as well, so that they can then do sea analysis and compile and take long-term adequate measures.
“The measures undertaken in co-operation between the Government and the Pristina Community at this stage are to be welcomed, but I doubt that two of these three AD-HOC measures may be severely applicable in this situation. I'm talking about the driving ban on cars or the measure called pair-tech, which could bring confusion to unrecognitioned citizens, and the tolling of the city's exit, and the measure of control or ban of the use of cervix for the limited capacity of institutions for control, but also of a very important social component: the selection of heating derivatives for citizens without warning. It should not be forgotten that no administrative measure of institutions dare conflict with fundamental human rights. While the easiest applied measure is that of subsidising urban transport and stimulating the greater use on the part of citizens when pollution is great, but this measure should be combined with a long-term campaign to raise awareness of citizens. It should not be forgotten that no administrative measure of institutions dare conflict with fundamental human rights. While the easiest applied measure is that of subsidising urban transport and stimulating the greater use on the part of citizens when pollution is large, but this measure should be combined with a long-term campaign to raise awareness that citizens”, he said of “Gazeta Blic”.
This former minister has also ordered the country's institutions to create serious access to the air issue and not forget the problems of air pollution over the course of winter.
Meanwhile, commenting on the state of Skopje and Tetovo with environmental air, Ameti says they have been in a situation similar to what Pristina is in, but with the closure of the Jugohrom Nation within the state laws, stresses that earlier results have been shown in improving the air situation.
“The alarming air rate in Tetovo has been the hot ecological topic for years in our country, due to specifics and factors that have polluted that city, which, in addition to other factors (the geographical location, spatial and urban planning of the city, the lack of green spaces, urban transportation, as well as the warming of facilities during winter) has been contaminated by the mismanagement of an industrial capacity of the Southohrom Nation which has refused to deploy the chimney filtration system, and this has been controlled in a staggering amount of 10m and 2M particles of space. As far as the amount of PM 10 particles in the air above Tetovo at the time has reached alarming figures sometimes close to 1,000 micro grams per cubic metre, which falls several times more than currently in Pristina. The closure of the Jugohrom Nation under the country's positive laws (even in spite of the economic contribution to the Santa economy) has been the provision we undertook at the time as dycatster in Government and which produced a previous result, but also the important life measures that the Tetovo municipality and Mayor Teuta Arifi, such as the design of the city's depot, the planting of many new ferns in the city neighbourhoods, the frequent cleaning of roads from the dust, such as buying out of the vertical Garden or <1x> CI TY TREE” which technology contributes to and clears environmental air in the city”, it declared for “Gazeta Blic”.
All in the end, it has been posing that the easiest appliable measure is that of subsidising urban transport and stimulating the greater use by citizens in the period when pollution is great, but this measure should be combined with a long-term campaign to raise awareness of citizens.
Regarding air pollution in the country, Kosovo's Assembly has called extraordinary sessions for tomorrow. Session at 3:00.
The cause of the poor air situation in Pristina has also been called a protest by civil society for tomorrow. Through the social network “Facebook”, citizens have called on to participate in this protest from 12: 00 p.m. to 1: 00 p.m.
