After declaring Limaj's innocence in the case known as “MTPT”, Deputy Prime Minister Dardan Gashi was filmed shooting with joy. Today in the Kosovo Assembly, he was called into interference by the LDK, but no resolution was voted for his dismissal. As is common in this case, an individual's unacceptable action was subject to his authority and position. Gashi is known as the architect of the Haradinaj government, since he had the key role in forming it. And it could be assumed that his role continues to be very active working as a repairer of possible cracks among the four partners of the ruling coalition. And likely his joy in Limaj's innocence is the joy of a man who had saved his individual destiny since as convict Limaj would reconsider the coalition with the PDK. Therefore, the eventual dismissal of the deputy prime minister and minister could have left the entire government in a major danger of division and dissolution. However, this man's key position in government and law was to be considered unacceptable and condemned. And voices from the assembly to make such a quality were absent.
As usual, in the assembly, each matter is baffled to unimaginable proportions. MP Nait Hasani said that “the man fires guns to remove the evil”, while other MP Glauk Konjufca made fun of the deputy prime minister's ability to shoot guns and not whether it was or not a violation deserving political punishment, that is, the dismissal from the post.
Also told were the cliches of all time that Kosovo has many more important issues, and bigger problems to deal with. Deputy Prime Minister Limaj said he would be happy if this were the biggest problem for Kosovo. It seems that empty rhetoric is a skill easily learned. The assembly's work was marked by a lack of concern for the political treatment of the case. Even a somewhat disinterested man named Albin Kurti seemed to be. He laughed at Glauk Konjufca's statements, and when he appeared at the speaker, he said minister Gashi's move constituted bad culture and deleiracy, which was a deviation from Albanian tradition. And according to this tradition, Kurt said that the guy with the gun would have to shoot hard. So for the Vetevendosje Movement that requires rule of law, the only lack of Dardan Gashi's move was the lack of grace or tact to hunt. There's no language instructions on the can prepared by the Jevevov State. This reminds you of the lectures of various Kosovo hoes when they describe the proper way to beat up a woman. And that's disturbing because the Vetevendosje Movement is what keeps some serious and regular discour, without the strange inconsistencies in them as it does other MPs from other parliamentary groups.
What happened in the assembly today is the normalization of this practice. Shots fired on holiday occasions are practiced by a very large number of people in Kosovo, but this deserves punishment and not normalisation. She was told she was part of our Albanian tradition, but shouldn't we see practices stemming from tradition in a critical way? Then, should not tradition in itself be questioned? It takes little thought to realize that tradition is primarily about roasting different habits from most of a society. Tradition also serves as a measure of exercise of power from a certain disk. And it has to be said plainly that part of our tradition is also a thousand-an unacceptable thing which performs oppression and violence on men, children and especially women.
Furthermore, Albanian tradition has acquired some natural anti-institute character as people formed different resistance practices against Serbian power or earlier Ottoman. This kind of resistance of institutions is still seen today, although we largely govern ourselves with institutions. The tolerance of this resistance is observed today, even since our assembly. Even with the way the unacceptable act of Deputy Prime Minister Gashi was handled.
Of course, at the representative or representation level that Kurt often mentioned in a television interview last night, it's difficult to declare the most pronounced nonconformistic attitudes. It's hard to say that our <x0ds are bad” when you have a mass of people in mind that you want to influence. But populism is dangerous because it accepts defeat in the effort to influence the masses by accepting an invasion by its discours. Most of the deputies who spoke in the Assembly had in mind the thousands who were watching them from their TV sets, unwilling to spoil their peace of mind. But this approach except harmful to society is harmful even to their own public representation. Because this depreciates the word, and lowers the level to that of the worst deputies in the House. When you say something, no matter how beautiful you work it out, if it's inconsistent, you risk not being serious anymore.
Mr. Dardan Gashi's move deserved a political sentence. Dardan Gashi deserved to be fired. Otherwise, the message is openly conveyed that one's doing so is lawful and even desirable in family and social environments. To further select the meaning of this, it can be said that different people, even being motivated by Konjufca's statements, will be able to prove their skills in shooting. Be gentle.
Gunshot promotes canon and tribal thinking that resists legal order. The legalization of this festive practice implies simultaneously the legitimacy of illegal weapons in the homes of many citizens. It means that police officers should close their eyes to such acts, as they close to smoking indoors.
Perhaps the only need that produced today's discussion in the assembly was to set up a weapons-kill course for other government officials with theoretical guidelines from Albin Kurti and practical instruction from Ramush Haradinaj.
