Drenas Mayor Ramiz Ladrovci has attended the Culture Festival promoting dialogue in Triesta, Italy.
Through a Facebook post, Ladrovci has announced that he is behind the honour of participating in this festival, where he mentioned the difficulties that the Albanian people in Kosovo have faced.
Ladrovci's posting:
I had the honor of attending as a guest of the Culture Festival promoting dialogue in Triesta, where groups from different parts of the world take part representing their culture. On this occasion, I also kept my word.
I stressed that I went from the newest state in Europe, known for respecting communities, led by the motto, united in changes. I also mentioned the difficulties that the Albanian people have faced in Kosovo.
We had a war that threatened our people from extinction before two decades ago. But thanks to our friends, we and our allies were released, and today, we convey the message of friendship and tolerance, I stressed there, adding that this message has been identified within St. Teresa's personality.
This personification of the universal good that conveys the exemplary personality of St. Teresa makes us Albanians proud and modest. This relationship with the world, it reminds us even today, at this feast of peoples that together make the human value, inexhaustible, transforming it into understanding and cooperation among peoples.
The tolerance between peoples and civilizations should keep the work alive, such as that of St. Teresa, who drew mankind close to problems like hunger, poverty, sickness, and love that are so lacking today.
In the end, I have conveyed the message of co-operation, tolerance and understanding, being honored with the invitation, to emphasize that people are blessed, and invited them to visit Kosovo, to see in the work tolerance and co-existence that not in the Balkans, but not in Europe. In that, I stressed, we didn't build it overnight, it was built by being at the crossroads of history, with fundamental values like hospitality, friendship and respect for our neighbor differently.
