The village star Montgomery Gentry was traveling to New Jersey after giving a concert when his helicopter crashed at the airport. The pilot also died at the scene, reports the Associated Press.
The other member of the Eddie Montgomery group wasn't on board when the accident occurred. The stars of Grand Ole Opry were scheduled to be observed at the Flying W & Resort resort at Medford Airport.
The causes of the accident are still unclear. The news has been reported on the official page of the Montgomery Gentry group on Twitter.
