Today and tomorrow, the international conference on the “Kulture and Peace in the Balkans is held in Pristina -- the Role of Parliamentaries”. Participants at the conference will be citizens, parliamentarians, representatives of civil society from the Balkans and Europe. Participants at the conference will be citizens, parliamentarians, representatives of civil society from the Balkans and Europe. They will bring their experience and knowledge in search of solutions to the world's critical problems, ranging from good governance, violent extremism, ethnic strife, and environmental protection. The Balkan region's Initiative for Peace will be launched from this conference.

The topics: Common cultural heritage as a common basis for peace and stability in the Balkans; Interparliamental diplomacy and regional co-operation; Strengthening family, essence of Balkan cultural heritage; Building a shared prosperity environment for generations to come.

The conference is sponsored by the Federation of Universal Peace (FPU), which has a special advisory status on the UN Economic and Social Committee, in partnership with the International Association of Parliamentary for Peace (SHNPP), aimed at establishing a forum for parliamentarians beyond nationality, religious identities or party affiliations
