When “Despacito” became the most clicked song of all time, with a total of 3.8 billion views only on the platform “Youutbe”, it brought fame not only to its creator, Luis Fons, but also to the neighborhood “La Perla” in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where most of the video was caught.
Video opens with “beaches La Perla”, next showing the colorful buildings, the writing on walls and the culture that Puerto Rico stands for.
But Hurricane “marria” turned “neighbourhood into rubble La Perla”, as he did with the rest of the American island and the Caribbean, earlier this week.
Network-circulating photos show destruction in “La Perla” and anywhere else. The buildings are left without a roof, and the walls of many homes have collapsed.
The successful Puerto Rican singer Fonsi rushed to post a video with massive flooding in the neighborhood. Then he published two photos side by side, in which the area that became famous in his hit clip, appeared before and after the hurricane.
“This view breaks my heart into 3 parts”, writes Fonss, expressing confidence that the island will be restored as quickly as it has been.
