Kosovo's Constitutional Court in March 2011 has not yet concluded “the” trial at the time, if, during the election of Behgjet Pacolli to Kosovo president, procedures were violated in Parliament and Constitution, the second subject for claims of constitutional violations on the part of the new Kosovo president.
The first request for interpretation had been made by the LDK with the support of AAK deputies, while the second requirement was prepared and initiated by the AAK.
Two weeks later, the Constitutional Court declared Kosovo's Parliament's decision to elect President Behgjet Pacolli non-religious.
Following the Constitutional Court's decision, Pacolli was dismissed from the post of president of the country, later to replace by Atifete Jahjaga.
In the public announcement of the Constitutional Court, it is said to have unanimously decided to announce the acceptable and majority vote motion, it declares that the “Parliament of Kosovo's decision regarding the election of the president of the Republic of Kosovo on February 22nd 2011 is not constitutional, as it is contrary to the demands of Article 86 of the Republic of Kosovo Constitution and democratic principles embedded there. ”/Periscopi
