Book booksellers on the capital's two squares on Wednesday have been assured that they will not spend the winter under the harsh conditions they have faced in the past 17 years. They have taken the keys to the sterns located in “Zahir Pajaziti” of that “Mother Teresa”, with the announcement of the results of the call for application for their exploitation, which had been made public in July of this year.
Eight sets of three square metres of milk imposed since April of this year by the Pristina Community Commission's decision are shared with bookmakers. In general, the public call had been answered by 18 applicants, of whom 11 individuals and 7 publishing houses. According to the public call, those aiming to take their seat in “Book Places” had to send evidence that they have sold books in the capital squares in the last three years. While publishing houses had other criteria, among them also for carrying out tax obligations, fiscal crates and the number of titles published in the last three years.
The five-member commission, led by Genc Basota, director of the Directorate for Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development in the Pristina municipality, has praised and given it to the use of the book to nine books. Two of them agreed to share the same stern.
