Large icons like Vache Zela are irreplaceable and matchless for both art, culture and the country. Her flight from life has been a great loss, but let us reremember this legend of song.
Vache Zela was born on April 7, 1939, in Lushnje and died on February 6, 2014. She began her new career, and in 1962 she was the first to win the Song Festival.
With the song “The first child”, she testified that an idol of music was being born that evening of December 26, 1962. Its rapper is very rich; it is counted with dozens of folk, light, canvas, ballad, etc. It also has an important contribution to film music, where it has played many songs as part of film music.
When he was 13, Vacja at night took the guitar and sat down under an olive tree in front of her house. There he sang until his grandmother went out and said: What's with the beautiful voice, girl? But it's getting us out of bed.
The memories return to Vache's relatives now that they have learned that she no longer lives. Today, neither is the olive any longer, nor is the house where Vache Zela was born, and was raised. In Loushaw, memories of Vache are strong among relatives, friends, and her fellow citizens.
They show that the first tunes Vacya sang in her house, in the center of Luzja, until a concert made her famous immediately. Pellumb and Syja Zela are the two cousins of Vace Zela, still living in the town of Lushnje. They show that every evening Vaca sang and played to her guitar, not knowing that soon she would become an icon of Albanian music.
“Vac has lived here in Lushnje since the age of 14-15 and then left for Tirana to attend high school. That would be her big break from Lushnja. At that time she attended a concert in China, where her voice immediately echoed. From that moment her career took off and all activity focused on Tirana”, Vache's cousins show.
Within a short time, he moved from Lushnja to Tirana and the rest of the Zela family. That is why her private home was sold to a family cousin, and the years that followed, Vacya often returned to Luzna, but now to give concerts in her hometown.
The home of the famous Vace Zela continues to be known as such today, though for decades in the property documents it belongs to other people. It is learned that the householders have emigrated to the Greek state and that no one has lived in it for years has brought its complete amortization.
The house is modest, one - story, about 70 square feet [70 sq m] wide. The walls of it are fallen, and the windows are covered with grass, and the bushes that penetrate it; and the tiles are in danger of falling from day to day.
Vace Zela is the 12-time winner of the Song Festival at Albanian Radio Television. The title was given “Artist Merit” in 1973 and “People's Artist” in 1977. She's been singing for the last time on the scene of the RAT Festival in 1980 and eventually left the scene in 1992.
It has been honoured with the Order “nder of the Nation” on December 24, 2002 by former President Alfred Moisiu, with motivation: “For rare values as outstanding artist, with remarkable popularity, for the skillful interpretation of the song of light and popular music, for the precious wealth he created at the Albanian musical performance school”
Vace Zela is the winner of the First Song Festival in Radio with the song “The first child”, on December 26, 1962, while she was 23. After that, Vace Zela would become the number one Albanian scene, co-operating with the biggest names of Albanian music:
Grimcie, Daija, Prodani, Krajka, Deda, Gaci, Kushta etc. Songs like “ & rain”, “Lemza”, “I'm 20 years old today”, “Happiness Vales”, “Midnight”, “ > Grandma's song”, “Gonge on freedom tree”, “Our illegal friends” etc. They're stuck in the Albanian golden music fund.
The first to discover Vaca's talent were teachers of the 7-year school in Lushnja. He tried to study Artistic Lake, but he couldn't. She followed the “Qemal Stafa” high school, but her talent would soon be noticed.
He was first appointed singer in the Army Estrada, later in the State, and recently at the People's Songs and Dances Ensemble.
Although within a closed system, Vace Zela's voice had exceeded the limits. Actor Astrit Cherma wrote on his Facebook page yesterday what Italian host Mike Bongiorno meant to Vace Zelen, years ago:
I remember in those years when TVs were placed in companies and institutions, we at the Institute of Arts followed the RAI almost every night. One night, the great one of those days, Mike Bongiorno, in one of the programs he was running, which, if I'm wrong, was called “Press for all of the”, asked three questions that were surprisingly connected to Albania...
The third question involved the great singer of the time, Caterina Caselli and her hit song, “Giovanni, Giovanni”.
Which of the world's singers would sing the song “Giovanni” more beautiful than Catherine Casey...?
The answers were about a level of singers shaking the world's scenes, but Mike Bongiorno repeatedly rejected them until it exploded:
The singer who would rather sing this song is Albanian Vace Zela!” /Conica
