Two Albanians candidates for North Mitrovica chairman

Current North Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakiq (Serbian List) in the October 22nd elections will challenge two Albanian candidates -- Betim Osmani (AKR) and Gonge Caushi (PDK) -- as well as SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic. Current mayors Dragan Jabllanovic (Leposaviq), current municipalities run in other northern municipalities PSK), Vucina Jankovic (Zvecan, Serbian List) and [...]
A strong “fight” will take place among Serbian political parties in the October 22nd elections in northern Kosovo municipalities, when it will be voted for mayor of municipalities and municipal municipalities. The most dominant political subject in northern municipalities, as well as in Serb majority municipalities, is the Serb List, whose chairman is Goran Rakiq, currently the first of the northern Mitrovica municipality. This political subject can only threaten Oliver Ivanovic's party, the Civic Initiative “Serbia, Democracy, Justice”. The latter run in northern Mitrovica with Oliver Ivanoviqi, while in Zvecan with Dragisa Milovich with whom the SDP is in the coalition. The unlikely non-minor race is also the political subject founded prior to the June 11th elections, the Kosovo Serb Party, led by Aleksandar Jablanovic and running in Leposaviq with incumbent Dragan Jablanoviq, broadcast voice.info.
The CEC has published the list of certificate names of candidates for mayors of northern municipalities, as well as candidates for municipal assemblies. According to the CEC, two Serbs and two Albanians compete for mayor of northern Mitrovica. The current chairman of northern Mitrovica, Goran Rakic, will be challenged by two Albanians, Betim Osmani from the AKR and Gonge Cashi from the Democratic Party of Kosovo. The PDK has decided that even for mayor of South Mitrovica to run a female, Valdete Idrizin. Rakiq will also have a Serb opponent, Oliver Ivanoviqi, the leader of the SDP, who in a trial process on charges of “war crimes” has been sentenced to 9 years in prison. The Court of Appeals has turned the case into retrial and the process has started at the Mitrovica Foundation Court. Two non-Serb women -- Adelina Rashit and Habibe Bushevac -- already two other candidates who were certified and on the SDP list, Tatjan Ivaz and Dalibor Antiq -- have withdrawn after a major pressure on the Serbian List. They have issued a statement under which they support the Serbian List in the October 22nd elections.
Next to Serbian List and Oliver Ivanovic's SDP in the race for the North Mitrovica Assembly are four Albanian political parties: The party “Ura”, movement “Vedition”, The AKR and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, as well as the Bosnian coalition “Vakat”.
In Zvecan the candidates for mayor of the municipality are the current chairman of Zvecan, Vucina Jankoviq (Serbian List) and Dragisa Milovic, the candidate of the civic initiative “for our Zvecanin”, who is in coalition with Oliver Ivanovic's SDP. Albanian political parties, movement “Vetevendosje”, The LDK and PDK don't have candidates for mayor of Zvecan, voice broadcasts.info.
Among the northern municipalities, with mostly political subjects in the race, there are in the municipality of Leposaviqi, a total of 11. Most candidates have the Serb List and the Kosovo Serb Party. The Serbian list has run for the municipality's first chair with Zoran Todijqi, currently parallel chairman of Leposaviqi, while the KSF with Dragan Jablanovijqi, current chairman of Leposaviqi. These two political subjects have large numbers of candidates for the Leposaviqi Assembly, while other political subjects in the race have candidates of almost all ethnicities -- Bosniaks, Albanians, Gorana and others. It is believed that the elections in Leposaviq will be handed down with many tensions, as has happened in the June 11th elections, as clashes between Jablanovac and Tolici, who have the Office for Kosovo director Marko Djuric's great support, and President Vuciq himself have never ceased. Kosovo Serb Party Chairman Aleksandar Jablanovic has even said a few days ago that he fears for his life after threatened by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq and Serb List militants. Four Albanian political subjects -- LVV, AKR, Initiative for Kosovo and PDK -- are also in the race for the Leposaviqi Parliament.
And meanwhile, for chairman of Zubin Potok, two candidates have run, current chairman of Zubin Potok Stevan Vullovic and Slavisa Bisevac citizen initiative candidate “for Zubin Potok”. Albanian political subjects, The PDK, LDK and LVV competing with candidates for the Zubin Potok Assembly have not run for the municipality's first chair. The big questions are for Stevo Vullovic to win another mandate, as he has the powerful support of his political subject (Serbian List), but also of Serbia's government, as Voulovic also holds the post of parallel chairman of Zubin Potok.
