A typical day of work for royal family members is to visit an art exhibition, go to military service, watch a golf game...
When Kate and William, Prince Harry or Charles arrive, they spend a short time greeting all the people who have come out to wait or even take some pictures with them.
We've seen some pictures of British royal family members with people, take gifts from them, or even stop a little to talk.
But have you ever seen Kate sign an autograph for any fans? Never.
This is forbidden for all members of the royal family, for a very simple reason: to avoid the risk of counterfeiting the firm.
Admittedly, there have been numerous cases that were asked to give an autograph, but their response has been the same: Sorry, I'm not allowed to do that.
Yet, like many other protocol rules, this too has been broken.
It was Prince Charles who signed an autograph in 2010, if we could call it that, on a piece of paper for a flood victim. He simply wrote: Charles 2010.
They may not be able to give autographs, but Kate and Harry as well as other royal family members are allowed to take photographs.
