Film director “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, Tobe Hooper, is dead at 74,

The news has also been confirmed by the district attorney of Los Angeles.

Hooper died Saturday in Sherman Oaks, California, reports Variety.

The reason for his death has not yet been revealed.

Hooper had made Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974 for less than $300,000, this film that was banned in many countries because of the violence portrayed in it, but had won over $30m in film crates.
