The three-day international conference “ -- the future of borders”, organised by the International Biennaly of Contemporary Art ) Biennale Highway -- is closed today in Prizren.
At today's session, beginning at 11:00, in Hamam Gazi Mehmet Pasha, will be discussed: Undefinated boundaries of contemporary art, cross KultPlus.
Modern and contemporary art has always claimed to be without borders, on behalf of internationalisation, global avant-guard, cosmopolitan or nomads. And there are still borders everywhere in art, in terms of social, political or economic arts environments. While seeking to contextize works of various beginnings, contemporary art seems to perpetuate unwanted borders. What, then, about border research trends in contemporary society? Or can the return of borders make contemporary art even more challenging, convincing, or problematic?
The speakers on the panel today are: Sisley Xhafa (SHBA), Miran Mohar (Slovenia), Yehudda Safran (SHBA), as well as all the artists and conference speakers. The main talk is given by Szezgin Boynik (Finland) as used by Manray Hsu (Taivan), the curator of the first edition of the Biennale Highway.
Today will be the presentation of artists: Valentina Bonnzi (Italy) and Alban Muja (Kosovo).
