Many residents have turned to social media with requests for help, as Houston's police department has asked civilians with ships to join them and help with more than 6,000 rescue calls that have been recorded through social networks.
Experts said the consequences of this catastrophic storm could be equal to the level of Katrina's destruction in 2005, said “Daily Mail”, Periscopi broadcast.
The storm has claimed the lives of at least five people, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and it also revealed that it would take over the recovery of this area that has been hit by the worst storm in this decade.
