This academic year is expected to accept more than 70,000 students -- the smallest number compared to past years.

Education affairs director Dukagjin Pupovci estimates that the state of higher education in our country continues to be marked with a lack of quality and poor conditions.

Unregarded teaching, disqualified staff, non-compliance of research programmes with the labour market, lack of effective quality insurance mechanisms, diplomas work plagiarism, are just some of the problems education experts say are conveying higher education in Kosovo.

Pupovci says students should watch their own trends and see what employment opportunities from that institution will be.

Prodecan of the Education School, Majlinda Gelay, has also discussed the matter.

She says that even this faculty has been removed from the Education Program in early childhood, and only 230 students will be accepted this year. /Tribona/
