Less than 3 months remain until the country's president, Hashim Thaci, held on 22 October, is holding local elections in Kosovo. In this regard, NISMA representatives have said they are working in this direction to ensure as many winners in the country's municipalities as possible.
In a proposal for the Indexline, Kosovo Initiative member Valdete Dushica-Bajram has confirmed once again that the Initiative for Kosovo will be part of the assembly even in the Vl legislature.
According to her, all of this has come from the work and engagement of all of their structures and the trust of the citizens they gave them on June 11th.
She has further said that they are not officially defined as to who the candidates for mayors are. But the same is expected soon to become public.
We haven't stopped our activity, every day we're in meetings with branches, our subsets in order to make it through local elections the best possible results in all municipalities. The decision of the Initiative's leadership for Kosovo is to have each branch come up with mayoral candidates, along with the list of candidates for municipal assembly. As for the name issue very quickly, all branches will bring the names of candidates for the assembly, but also of candidates for chairman”, Dushica-rami said.

Furthermore, she has informed citizens that with NISMA's governance at the local level, they will be able to see the country improve. It has shown the example, as is the municipality of Malisheva.
And we're working without stopping with the sole goal that our citizens side of the corner of Kosovo offer a government different from what we have, because now we've proven that the local-level Initiative governance differs from others for this you have the example of the Malisheva municipality”, it further said.
