So said Albanian Ambassador to Hungary Arian Spasse, following the response that has caused publication on the Facebook Embassy page, of the two photographs presenting the September of Skenderbeu, which will be placed in Budapest.
Severe reactions, because Skenderbeu, carried out by Hungarian sculptor Mihaly Gabor, had no resemblance to the hero's portrait. After that, Ambassador Spasse has rushed to clarify through a status, but on the Embassy's Facebook page.
“Taking advantage of some of the reactions of friends in FB as to Skenderbeu's physicalization planned to be placed in Budapest, I would like to explain that the model presented in the photo is only model. It will undergo changes until it assumes the features with which Albanians are familiar. Thank you for understanding”, writes Ambassador Arian Spasse. Even the previous two photos were removed.
REAGATIONS
Several days ago, the Albanian Embassy in Budapest announced the deployment of a September of our National Hero in Budapest, near the monument of Hungarian hero Janos Huniadi. The sculpture was carried out by Mihaly Gabor. To make the news concrete, two photographs were posted showing Ambassador Spasse to the sculptor before September and another monument, which, besides the goat - horned helmet, had no resemblance to the image of the hero with which we grew up.
The most severe response to this work came from the Decani of the Faculty of Pator Art, Ardian Isufi, who called it a “mix artistic designer”, Hungarian sculpture. What exasperates the artist mostly is “ignorance” of Albanian institutions, which accept a “denigrim of such a figure of our national hero.
In an interview with “Panorama”, Isufi said that “in the Vatican Archive has dozens of Gravaves, which feature some characteristic features of Skenderbe's physical economy, such as the nose, eyebrows with angles. Elements on which long has been supported are also written, even though he has interpreted the image artistically”.
He suggested Albanian institutions to advise the foreign sculptor, but Albanian ones, to exploit Vatican archives. He even expressed pessimistic that his word would go to deaf ears, but evidently it did not. / KultPlus. com
