Serbia's next prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, has nominated a pro-rus politician for defence minister, damaging hopes in the West that its nomination signalled the exit from Moscow's influence, reports the AP agency from Belgrade.
Serbia's state television has reported that nominated Prime Minister Anna Brnabiq has proposed today her cabinet's list of ministers for approval in parliament.
The list includes Aleksandar Vulin, the former labour minister who will lead Serbia's defence ministry.
Its list includes several officials, who are openly pro-Russian de anti-Western, the AP reports.
When Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, the former prime minister, nominated her earlier this month for prime minister, Anna Brnabiq, who was educated in the United States and Britain, this move was seen as an attempt to ease Western concerns that Serbia was approaching very close to Russia.
