The special Public Prosecutor yesterday published the so-called work report, and then issued 17 new charges on 18 subjects against 101 officials who have been misusing the task in the past.
Former Prime Minister and current VMRO-DPMNE chairman Nikola Gruevski is at the centre of most open materials.
In addition, another 100 persons are under investigation, mainly OBRM-PUKM officials.
But what saves Gruevski from prison?
The immunity of the MP, as the elected of the people!
Keeping Gruevski with immunity is in the hands of the commission for immunity and mandate issues.
According to the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia, the MP has immunity and cannot be imprisoned without Parliament and the commission in question. Always according to the Constitution, the same could be imprisoned if the country's courts foresee prison terms that last less than five years.
This is expected to be seen if the Criminal Court today will accept the PSP charges and start working on these subjects! Such practice has not been seen so far.
