The United States of America (SHBA) published yesterday the announcement of the arrest of six people in New York, among them Albanians and foreigners, as well as 4 others in Kosovo, under suspicion of organised crime, money laundering, international arms trafficking and extortion. According to the announcement, the operation was conducted in co-operation between police [...]
According to the announcement, the operation is conducted in co-operation between the Kosovo Police and the US Anti-drug Agency (DEA), writes Periscopi.
Among those arrested in New York is Albert Veliu, who so far was an official Kosovo Consulate driver in New York. Also arrested among alleged narco-dlers of heavy arms carriers is his brother, Alban Veliu.
What is unknown is that Albert Veliu is not just a Kosovo Consulate driver in New York. He is even closer to senior officials of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
The same had stayed at the time of the Kosovo campaign, as Periscopi finds out, at the request of Foreign Affairs Minister Enver Hoxhaj. It turns out Hoxha had asked Veliu to help his party during the campaign.
Periscopi learns that former US Kosovo Ambassador Bekim Sejdiu had several times demanded Albert Veliu's dismissal from Consulate to the US, but this was strongly rejected by Thaci and Hoxhaj in progress.
His dismissal had also been requested by the General Consul of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, Teuta Sahatqi, but there has been no concrete outcome in that direction, thanks to the support of the uncomprom that Thaci and Hoxhaj have made to the US suspect of serious crimes Albert Veliu.
In the case, the British newspaper “Daily Mail” writes that anti-tank Zola and AK-47 automatic rifles would go to Mexican gangs bordering the United States, from the group that belonged to the Veliu brothers. /Periscope/
